NY/NJ: Recommend me your alignment guy.

Hey guys, I was wondering for some of you that has gotten an alignment job on their X5 and was totally happy with the job, can recommend me their mechanic. I don't really want "go to your local BMW dealership" replies because even there, I dont trust their mechanics unless I have had a good review on them.

Indy or dealer, let me know please.
And also let me know how much was the work.

I'm from Queens NY.

Much appreciated!

I think your best bet is to locate a place that has all the BMW spec Hunter equipment. Not everyone has it and in my experience the places that do are generally pretty diligent about their work. A shop I used to go to out west was 40 miles out of my way and I told the owner that because he has the complete setup I only go to him. He was very pleased to hear it and informed me that it cost him a fortune, but all the stuff was absolutely top notch. Don't forget to get all your wheels properly balanced with the roadforce balancer prior to alignment.

I also drive a lowered VW and it constanstantly has alignment issues. The only shops I trust to have an alignment done at are TKX performance in Huntington and Tyrol Sport in Queens. The links are posted. Both shops are great and when my X5 needs an alignment it will go to one of these shops.

TKX: TKX Performance - Long Island's European Specialists, Porsche, BMW, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Mercedes-Benz

TyrolSport: TyrolSport

Thank you so much guys. Replies like this saves people a ton of money. I first took my car to Pepboys the first time. I've owned numerous Import (Jap) cars and had no issues with alignment at Pepboys. But when I took the X5, they disregarded that it needed special tools and never told me. So I wasn't satisfied with the job. So thank you very much for all the replies.
