Best deal to expect on 2006 4.4i?

Hi all,

still haven't found a great deal on a new 2006 4.4i. (by the way thanks to those who responded to my thread looking for the best dealer in Chicago Area.)

Anyway, those of you who have purchased recently or know somoneone who has, whats the best discount I should be expecting? This is my first BMW so I am not used to dealers quoting so little off of MSRP.

Best deal I have found so far is $2500-2600 off MSRP, while I was hoping for at least $3,500 off... but maybe thats unrealistic.

If anyone has a good idea what I should be getting, please let me know. Since this is the last year of this design for the X5, I thought it would be much easier to negotiate.

Thanks in advance all!

Steve

I don't know about the 4.4i, but I have a 2006 3.0i (55,500) MSRP
I paid 49,500 at BMW of San Diego for my khalahari beige on Truffle Brown 3.0i, hope that helps
