Need Mechanic in San Francisco--Tranny Problems
Anybody in San Francisco bay area have a mechanic they can refer me too? My 4.4i tranny has failed and need to replace. BMW tranny's are $6,400 plus installation.

Any experience with Peter Schmid in Burlingame? I heard their rebuilt tranny's don't hold up--any other options out there?

do you always park your x without pulling the ebrake in nuetral and then releasing brake and putting into drive? Thats one of the major causes of tranny problems.
