hi all i have 2001 3.0d sport with mid cd player and then on radio mode there are channels 1 to 6 but when a i press fm it changers a1 a2 a3 and so on ive looked in the manual but no joy please help thanks wilko

Press FM again until you see the stations picked with RDS

Dont know - My 540i does that too - maybe its a German radio thing

I thought the FMa and AMa were for the autostore feature. Comes in handy when you are traveling and don't know the local stations. You can autostore to the (a) places so you don't have to mess with your everyday saved stations. From the manual...
