At various times, no matter how many miles I just went or what the weather is outside, all of a sudden my X5 sounds that tone, Beep, Beep, Beep. There MUST be a reason. It's not warning me of the outside temp, I know that and there is no indicators telling me what's going on.

disconnect the battery for 15 minutes, and set the time and date and rotate the steering wheel lock to lock after starting your car. and see if it still does it.

3 beeps lets you know the hour is approaching.

set the reminder to OFF... it's in the NAV setup menu... when set to ON, it will notify you that the hour is approaching x:00

What years of X5's have this feature?

I just witnessed this beeping on the hour in my mums '09 4.8 last Friday. I had no idea.

Thanks, Will look for that setting to turn off. WHO cares if it's coming up on the hour. I just want to drive and listen to my music ;-)
