WARNING LIGHTS

My 2002 BMW X5 4.4I I just purchased a month ago keeps giving me warning lights and alerts. One time when driving on the free way the car shut it self down. Now when I start it I get alerts all the time and the engine shuts down and I cant drive it. The alerts are:

ENGINE FAILSAFE PROGRAM
TRANS FAILSAFE PROGRAM
ABS
TRACTION CONTROL
CHECK COOLANT

I am in Borneo and there is no BMW Dealer to take the car to so I put it on a truck and sent it to a workshop that looks after imports they have some kind of diagnostic computer that looks like an IPAD but all it says is the O2 Sensor is going off. I hope I just need a new battery or the alternator is on its way out or the sensors are no good. I dont trust them to fix it as there not experts but they are all i have.Does anyone know what the problem could be?
