Eibach pro-kit spring on X5 with sports package?

Hi guys I'm thinking about putting the Eibach Pro-Kit spring on my 2004 X5 3.0i w/Sports Package. (I'm getting the Eibach Anti-Roll kit which is $444, and there's a Anti-Roll kit and Prokit spring combo for $613, which I think is a good deal)

After reading some older posts here, it seems like the Eibach Pro-Kit spring is lower than the regular air suspension ones that the non-Sports Package X5 have.

Does anyone know if the Eibach Pro-Kit spring is lower than the stock springs from the Sports Package? Do I need to go to the dealer and have them lower the rear suspension with BMW scan tool like required on the X5s with air suspension?

someone had a post on here that said H&R springs now came with the adjustable endlinks. the endlinks are used to save time and money instead of going to the dealer. you replace the stock endlinks with the adjustable ones and then I would recommend an alignment after the install

I do have the eibachs installed and the handling is great. The rear ride height is still a mystery to me because I had the dealer lower it to match the rear, but you will have a self level suspension inactive warning come on.

I am going to change the electronic ride height back to stock soon.

@enoteware: thanks for the reply, did you meant you had the dealer lower it to match the front? how much did it cost for them to adjust it? Any reason why you are changing electronic ride height back to stock?


Again thanks for the replies guys, I really appreciate it since I don't know much about spring/suspensions/shocks , this is the first time ever that I looked into things like aftermarket springs, ride heights, etc...have been keeping my car stock for years and never paid any attention to those things

I have a new question(since I'm still puzzled after seeing all the thread and information, lol) , does every E53 X5 have self leveling suspension or is it an option when you bougth the car? I'm just asking since I don't remember ever seeing anything about self leveling suspension on the spec sheet when we bought the car... Are there any differences between the sports suspension and regular suspensions? is self leveling suspension the samething as adjustable ride height that's mentioned in the user's manual?

Yah I meant to say change my rear to match the front. I am kind of getting over the lowered look and just wanted to go back to stock that's all.

I see I think the stock height looks good but the lowered X5s looks more aggressive
Are you switching back to stock springs, or keeping the Eibach one and adjust just the rear ones back to stock height?


Anyone know how much the dealers usually charge for height adjustment?
