something just dosent feel right

hi everyone..we had a snowstorm on long island new york last week..coming home from work and the x performed flawlessly in the snow..few days later drove the x and the tranny just dosent feel like it is working how it used to work..now when i slow down and rhe tranny shifts from 2nd to 1st and at about 1000 rpm the tack surges about 200 rpms then drops back down to 1000 and when i stop it suddenly drops to 600 which is normal idle. i also feel that when i accelerate it holds second gear for a longer period of time than before...i dont know how to explain it just feels different than before. this morning coming home from work ,when i stopped for a red light got one time buck from the rear..hasnt done it since...any opinions greatly appreciated..2005 x 4.4 22k miles...thanks rob
