Detailed e53 production numbers?

I am looking for total production of each model of the e53 X5, by year if possible.

Specifically, how many 4.8iS in 2006, how many 4.8iS total, how many e53s in 2006, and how many e53s total.

I have searched and searched and cannot find this info, other than a vague mention of 1500 4.6is per year in 02/03

i always had the same question and never got an answer. same as you i came across 4.6 numbers. i was under the impression though it was 2500 produced each year totaling 5000 for the 2 years of production. i could be wrong though.

Here is a link with some stats, for BWM '03 - '06 and, X5 models specifically...
I knew I had it somewhere; just took some digging in my BookMarks and hunting via the handy Search Tab here.

Unfortunately, BMW stopped breaking out "model stats", within X5s, in '07, at least for semi-public consumption.
And, all this data used to be put up by a good poster named Fred Meloan, whom hasn't posted in a couple of years...

Hit the pdf file in the link above. Hope this is of some answer to your question(s).

Wonderful - thank you.

Although it doesn't give actual production numbers that is a very good measure of how many are out there, in the US at least.

There must be some record of exactly how many rolled off the assembly line... maybe this would be worth a call to BMW NA or the Spartanburg PR dept.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I never realized how rare my car was. Anybody got a breakdown by color by any chance?

I thought the production of pre-facelift x5 was stopped before 10/2003, now I see BMW was continue prouducing pre-facelift x5 until 02/2004. Pretty weird.
