Stay in the ride after it's turned off and you'll
hear all kind of strange noises. No j/k My guess is that it's the computer/electronics stuff storing your picture, personal information and personal conversations you've had while driving.......  Seriously though i've heard those noises for years. Unless theres something wrong, ignore it.

Alright joke king! I guess I just hadn't noticed before. In the car with the key in position "0" if I turn on the Nav I get this low level humming. Didn't realize that it did that and I'm hoping it's not a soon-to-be problemo.

No joke about turning the key off
and sitting there in silence. You can hear all kinds of stuff going on. Not exclusive to the X either. Our 5 series does the same thing. So far no gremlins have been found Better than having a squirrel running around the cabin......  (That actually happened to us in Tahoe)
