Has Anyone Replaced Their Gas Pedals (Potentiometers)??

I was considering the below post and the question came to mind. All these cars jerking and maybe its the throttle-by-wire causing the problem. So has anyone here had their gas pedal replaced either under warranty or otherwise?

doubtful, there are 2 potentiometers in the throttle switch, one low, and one high, they are mirror images only the higher one has a higher voltage image. if you do replace the thottle switch, you must turn on the igntion, and leave it on for 30 seconds or more, to have the DME adapt to the new switch. otherwise, you will only have 25% throttle opening, and a check engine lamp will come on, on the second start.

This was the first thing I checked when I started having the problem, as it seems the most logical. I had my tech check it out, and he said pretty much what killcrap said, that there are redundant systems that the computer is checking constantly against each other, so if something was wrong, the computer woud throw a code.

This last weekend I unplugged the motor on the transfer case to rule that out. It runs in failsafe mode when it is unplugged. No change.

This problem sucks. My wife has STILL not warmed up to this vehicle because of this problem, and you know what they say, when Mom's not happy, no one is happy!
