rear view fogged?

i was driving down the NYS thruway towards schenectady and my rear view started to fog up...i had the ac on the lowest and coldest setting. however, after i heated my car back up it got worse. and then i tried cooling it to colder and it still got worse. what the heck is wrong with my rearview?

rear view mirror. as in the interior mirror.

Now I get it...I've seen ours do the same under some infrequent conditions of humidity/temp, etc. depending upon interior HVAC settings. Our situ was only temporary, however.

I don't think the int rear view m. is heated like the outside mirrors are.

Pretty weird though, that it did not clear quickly. Maybe had A/C on recirc not external air?

Sorry, this is not much help I realize, lol!
