Folks,
Creeping up on 70k on the clock with the X. Ownership has been almost painless, but I'm starting to get some looseness in a few things.
I plan on replacing the entire front end (strut rods, control arms, ball joints, sway bar links, maybe shocks). I was gonna order the rebuild kit from FCP for $275. Anyone done this? Seems like a good deal, and it's got a lifetime warranty.
The question is...what other rubber bits are around that could (and should) be replaced. I"d rather replace now, in one fell swoop, than bring it back in for service in another 10k when something else goes.
I think the rear control arms, and possibly the rear subframe bushings too. I seem to be getting a little more vibration in the cabin that I'd like.
Are there any tranny or engine mounts that fail with enough regularity to justify replacement?
Thanks guys!
