Dealer wants $1300 for rear control arms. Anyone else have to do this?

Took my X for an oil change and the dealer tells me I need control arms for $1300. Apparently they wore out in my garage cuz i've only put 300 miles on it in the last 2 months. Anyone else have to do this? My X rides absolutely perfect and only has 67k mi on it. Thanks for any info.

I haven't compared prices to Dannyell's post, but FCP Groton on eBay has good prices on suspension pieces and kits as well, and they've finally started offering lifetime warranties on their stuff.

Vibration while driving, shop has problems getting alignment right, etc. Otherwise you could just replace them around 100k for good measure and have a brand new feeling X while driving down the road.

Upper or Lower? (wishbone or swing arm?) Why did they say you need them? I just had my upper control arms and lower bushings replaced aka wishbones and ball joints for $1000 at a shop in Queens. Straightened my rear wheels right up. Just need an alignment, waiting for new tires since mine were down to the wires.

You might be coming up soon. My '04 3.0 started eating rear tires at around 60k. I just did the job (after my 3rd pair of tires) at 90k. You'll notice when your rear wheels look slanted, and your tires begin to wear on the inside.

The rear wheels look slanted and wear on the inside regardless, that's how the suspension was designed.

Rear control arms cause vibration? If that is so then I need new bushings for my control arms.
