Nav won' read disc.

When we purchased the X5 back in December the dealer told us the disc was too scratched up to be read by the dvd drive. Took the disc had it cleaned and it still didn't read. Called dealer, they said they would ship us a disc right out....well now in the last few days of Feb. we got a new-er disc in the mail. It was clearly not new. But the drive still says it will not read the disc anyone have any advice?

Take it back to the dealer and have them find/fix the problem - on their dime. It never read any discs in the first place, right?

No when we went to get it they said that the disc was dirty and to have it cleaned and they would send us a new one if it didn't work. I just wondered if there was anything else I could do because the dealer is about 1.5 hrs away.

Just a thought - has your nav system been upgraded to v.32 ? Maybe the disc they sent you is a newer version ?

Make sure if you are using a MK3 (cd-rom) you do not insert a "DVD" formatted navigation disc. It will not work. The MK4 will read DVD and CD formatted discs.
