3.0d not enough power up to 2000 rpm

Can any one help please?

Have my X5 3.0d 2002 year with automatic gearbox for couple of weeks now and I'm trying to sort few bad bits now

Driving in up to 2000 rpm it is like without any power, basically, when you start driving from 0 till about 2000 rpm is like you towing some elephant, but after 2000 rpm it is just like kick, and after 3000 rpm on highest speed (above 30-40 mph) doesn't want to go again, looks like the power is missing somewhere.

I tried new Airflow sensor - helps in middle range 2-3000 but before 2000 rpm and after 3000 rpm it is like 1.6 diesel just doesn't want to accelerate it.

Thanks for any help and sorry for bad English

With those symptons ,it could be a number of things! You say you fitted a new MAF but didnt help much!Did you get the MAF coded by Bmw dealer? If you didnt ,then the ECU will still think you have the old MAF!
Better connect car to Bmw Diagnostics...

I had one old from my Rover 75, so I used this....., than I found ECU was still on fault becouse of the air intake temperature, so I used my original one and it was like take the turbo out from the car, so I used another one from my friend BMW with the air temperature sensor, but I didn't "coded" the ECU - it is really important? If I will buy same part number as it was the old one?

Just be patient and try again later. I believe the site is experiencing problems for the last couple of days. I've been getting a lot of "page not found" but later it's fine.

Another option is to search the forum for "throttle adaptation" which is what that link is for.
