CCV Warranty

Hi.

I had a post earlier about a ccv which froze and led to a raptured valve gasket.

I had the car fixed at the dealer, and everthing was working fine.

then about 1,5month later, something led to pressure being built up in the engine. It was in really cold weather and i am assuming it was the ccv yet again. (i can not think about something else resulting in pressure being built up.)

There where some smoke coming in through the ventilation, so i popped the hood, and could see that oil was pushed out from the oil cap.. I removed the cap and pressure was relieved from the engine.

There was hardly any oil missing, and when putting the cap back on, there was not any pressure building up..

I thought at first that everthing was okey. I brought it to the dealer which after a quick visual inspection said it could have been a frozen "cork" which caused the pressure build up. But it should be okey.. A very quick check..!!

Recently I have noticed oil in the area where my car has been parked, and i also had to refil a little oil, so it seems clear that i do have a leak..

I have'nt had a chance to check where the leak is. there is no leak in the front of the engine from the valve gasket.. Im suspecting it might be the valley pan gasket, which as far as i have understood, can also fail from the failed ccv.

I'm going to bring the car back to the dealer to have them check the ccv system, and if this is indeed the cause of the leak, i will claim warranty for the job done.

First off, i wanted to check with you guys what to expect from the dealer if they are reluctant to claim responsibillity.

1. Is there anything else that could have caused the pressure build up in the engine.?

2. How would they go about to check if the ccv is still not okey.?

3. Do you guys think that the dealer is responsible for the repair.?

4. And could the ccv system still be okey even if it caused a raptured gakset.? Like it ws okey after it warmed up.? Im fearing next year winter since this occured only 1,5months after the repair.
