Battery Recomendations

Good Day Everyone.

I think I need a new battery. Today I tried to power up the car and it wouldn't do much. Had to jump started it.

Anyone recommends a good reliable battery and cheap.

AutoZone Duralast, Exide from many sources, Batterys Plus's Werker brand,
etc.

Just get the right size/rating and make sure it has vent tube hole.
DIY is less than 30 mins.

The OEM battery for my e36 I just bought from the dealer is made by Exide. I replaced the battery in our X5 with an Interstate battery. The old Interstate in my e36 lasted 8 years.

My battery died on me in front of my daughter's daycare... so I called AAA and their battery truck showed up... checked the battery and charging system, and the battery was dead. He had various batteries, and one for X5 too. He replaced the whole thing and the total charge was like $200+ dollars... the most convenient service and has the AAA warranty on it too.

I was going to buy a Duralast for my 325i but with my BMWCCA discount, it was cheaper to get an battery from the dealer. Autozone wanted around $135 and the dealer (Exide) battery was a few bucks less with tax included. That sure doesn't happen much with dealer pricing.

Wow.... Dealer beating autozone pricing?? Must be nice to live in that state.

You should see what Pacific BMW (out here in So. California) tried to charge me for a radiator drain plug....you know the plastic one on the bottom corner of the radiator.....

$26.80 + tax.
