Factory tint level

Anyone know what the factory tint level is for the climate pkg? Got to be something light like 75-80%. They just changed the tint laws here in IL and I want to get my fronts tinted to match the rears. Just need to know for sure what the factory level is.

The tint shop should be able to measure it exactly, as well as measure the front, so they can figure the appropriate tint to apply.

IL previously disallowed any tint at all on the driver and passenger front windows. Now they have a somewhat complex law (of course) which allows you to match the existing factory tint on the rear windows of "multipurpose vehicles" as long as it does not exceed 35%.

The actually factory tint level on our cars is 18% tinted glass not a film but the actual glass is this dark..from the factory. That includes rear window, and both back passenger windows also.. I have my drivers side and passenger side windows in the front to match the tint perfectly. We have the same law about 35% in the front..I've been pulled over many times for speeding or whatever, never once has a single cop ever said anything about tint. They don't enforce it here..

I know the feeling. I've been jealous of other states for years. Can't wait to get my done now.

Got a pic? I'd like to see how it looks with the matching tint.

M i don't have a pic right now as I'm at work! (yikes I think i should do some actual work today! lol) But i will try to get a pic up tonite or tomorrw. It looks great very smooth and clean all the way.. The key is to make sure you get the right type of tint. There's black, there's smoke, all different shades. To match you gotta go black..not smoke.

It's 35%. It's as close as a match as you'll ever get.

Not the best angle, but it truely is an almost perfect match. Tint shop said it's the closest match vs. factory processed tint they've ever seen. I really need some overcast shots to show.
