x5 blasphemy

Well well i'm thinkin of doin it again. After my e36 2jzgte swap i'm thinkin of committing the ultimate BMW Blasphemy. I'm pretty sure the the Beamer gods must the brewing war against me. I'm broiling in my head the notion of stuffing the 1HDT in to a E53 or E70. That turbo diesel from the landcruiser; complete with the tranny, transfer case and merging the drive shafts. So I wdnt mind some feedback... cool?

Let me be the first to ask the obvious: which accelerator pedal are you going to use, the BMW or the Toyota?

I'm a fan of crazy projects....I say go for it.....though the BMW engine isn't a piece of junk to begin with. What are you going to do with it?

Send it my way, I'll make my son a go-kart with it

No sarcasm here. Toyota makes some great engines. If you have a Landcruiser with a diesel, though, why would you want to drop an X5 body over it? If you have an X5 diesel, why would you want to trade down so far in hp?

Assuming that the thing would physically fit, it would probably be heavy. Mounting it on the unibody would be a challenge, as the Toyota mounts all bolt to the frame rails.

Don't worry about the Beamer God. Is that the one that watches over BMW motorcycles? We aren't even worried here about the Bimmer god, let alone the Beemer god.
