FYI, the updated fan is 17.41.7.504.732, which has more blades and a molded disc on the outside to promote flow and maintain integrity of the fan. It is a smart proactive upgrade for all V-8 E53 cars.
I bought one to see if it MIGHT adapt to a Euro E53 3.0 diesel, alas it will NOT.
