new X5 failure mechanism ?
I was greeted by..........speaker grille lying on the floor. (see photo, please excuse the very dirty matts !) Geeee, all the plastic clips had fractured. $15 part at dealer ..... I'm kinda thinking to myself that Honda's dont have such silly issues

I agree with your comments. I'm no longer phased by these annoying little X5 quirks, but I am constantly dissapointed when it comes time to replace the other, other, other window regulator, final stage res., rear sun shade support clips, scraped intererior door handles, end links, and the like. I know I would never accept these issues from a Toy, Honda, Nissan. I guess it comes with the territory when we own BMW's. I love to clean, wash, wax, mod, and especially drive my X, but it would sure be nice to not have to deal with some of its easily avoidable engineering deficiencies.
