Headlight dip
My headlights stopped the "normal" start-up check some time back... they no longer dip up, then down when first turned on.
I've searched quite a bit but haven't determined what I should do next. -Car is a 2003 X5 3.0 with March 2003 build date. -factory Xenons -I had the right CV replaced while on a road trip some 4 months ago...not sure if this is when the problem started My Questions: 1. is there a specific fuse(s) for the headlamp assembley, motors and the level sensor? don't see one on the fusebox map? Only see the LCM 2. is there a proven way to check the level sensor's functionality 3. does the level sensor require calibration? can it be reset? and I saw a thread that mentioned "adjusting" its position on the arm??? Can someone elaborate on this procedure? 4. is there a way to rule out the adjusting motors? I'm assuming they're not at fault as they'd have to have failed together...but I'd like to verify this Thanks in advance all! |

If you had a cv joint repaired, it's possible that they didn't reconnect the arm which connects the sensor to the control arm.
