Question Question about staggered wheels

Are there any issues or impacts to using staggered setups? Im wondering if it would cause any problems with things like the diffs or xdrive ('05 X5). I see alot of ppl on here using a staggered setup so Im thinking its ok to do, but just want to know if there are any long term ramifications to doing this that might cause damage to my X. For fun, I want to do 19", 255\50 front, 285\45 rear.

Thanks,
jb

They come staggered from the factory, no harm in using a staggered setup. Although I prefer square setup so its able to be rotated.

Only thing to remember about staggered setups is that the front and rear tires need to be the same circumference. They may be wider or narrower with higher or lower aspect ratios but they must be the same size around or tall. If your setup does not have the same circumference on the front and back, you will most likely develop a problem in the driveline.

Many of us have them...no problems.
Love my staggered 19" 132s.
The OP's intended sizes are correct.

I have square too 20x10. I can only say turning the wheels at parking speed lot speeds can be a pain in the arms when you just left the gym, lol. What size are yours?
