Mounting a fire extinguisher

I have been unable to locate a fire extinguisher and mount made for the car so, does anyone know what is in the area under the carpeting under the passenger side seat in front...the seat is mounted on a "raised" carpeted area...is the space under the carpet "hollow"? Ie: can I put some screws into that area?
The pic shows the area, black is the floormat, I want to put screws into the vertical area at the front, under the seat....(kinda hard to explain)

BMW makes an fire extinguisher, which comes with mounts. There are some on ebay as well.

Yup. I had that installed on my 860i (There is a specific E31 mount). I am sure it could be attached easily on the X5. on the E31 it mounted on the plastic right under the front edge of the Driver's seat cushion.

BMW X5 OEM Fire Extinguisher system

Installed on E31

Where have you been looking, inside of a banana?

Do a thread search, this topic has been covered UP THE WAZOO. I've even posted pictures, the BMW instructions, and links to where you can buy the stuff. You've been a BMW CCA member for 35+ years and never came across it?

Get a clue...

X5 Meister...thanks for the useless info, shipping a USED FIRE EXTINGUISHER FROM GB is NOT an option....
The unit from what I have found is NOT EASILY AVAILABLE IN THE US aside from the expense
THEREFORE I want to mount an easily available MARINE EXTINGUISHER IN FRONT OF THE PASSENGER SIDE SEAT!
Thanks for the useless info that DID NOT ANSWER MY QUESTION...
And further, I have owned more BMW's over the 35 year membership than I can remember...respect your elders..
ps: I don't need your sarcasm...

My deepest apologies if I offended thee. I guess when THE SAME FREAKING PERSON ASKS THE SAME FREAKING QUESTION IN 3 SEPARATE POSTS WITHIN 2 MONTHS IT GETS ON MY NERVES. Particularly when it it's already been answered. (I wasn't going to point out that fact in my last post, but hey, with your rude comment why not.)

The fire extinguishers from the UK from one dealer in particular are 'used' in that they are not coming straight from the dealer, they have not been discharged which makes them perfectly fine. If you don't want them from that dealer then buy from someone else. I haven't had any problems getting them whenever I wanted and in fact I have an extra one that I would be willing to sell, but not to someone this freaking annoying. 35 years huh? In that case make sure you post the same question 32 more times.

Yes I think I've been helpful to quite a few members. And as far as age is concerned, I'd wager I've been around for more president's that you. Good luck with the installation of your new floor drains.
