cat97628 is on a distinguished road
parts for towing

I have just purchased a popup camper that has electric brakes and I am wanting to get the E53 up to the task to pull it. I have the BMW hitch on its way along with the BMW 2" ball. I have also found out today after talking to the man that delivered the camper that I will need a brake controller. After doing my research I have decided I will be going with the prodigy P3. The man also said I will need a "Circle 7" connector installed on the X5 for the lights and brakes. What does this connector do that the BMW wiring harness does not? Do I need anything else to pull this camper?

thanks
