WeissLicht Ultra-Bright LED Ange eye versus Mtec v2.0

Has anyone had experience with these bulbs...Which one would you consider brighter. And i know most would say go with Angelibrights but there is a recession going on and there isnt $300 for two little bulbs. It really isnt that serious for a minor upgrade..

I put the WeissLichts in my '05 X5 and they were quite a bit better than the stock bulbs, but not as bright as they claim them to be. During the day, they dont stand out really, but look nice at night. I still have em in though, since I also dont feel like spending $300+ on 2 bulbs. I got other stuff to spend my money on

We get this type of question all the time. If you have your heart set on the AiBs, please save the money and get a set when ready, otherwise - you will be disappointed.

While not the cheapest - the AiB system is the hands down best system for the X5.

Are you talking about the full AE upgrade or just the bulb replacement???

If it's just the bulb replacement, I went with the City Vision from Mod Bargains (they do not recommend AIBrights anymore) and got those with a lifetime warranty for $179.95. They may still have the $40 off coupon for those as well (which I didn't get ).

I actually got the Mtec 2.0, and there not that bad. At night there awesome and id have to report back to you about day time since i didnt really take a look at how they look in the day. My X is in the shop cause someone hit me so it might be a while b4 i can actually tell you if its bright during day time. And i keep hearing AIB's are great but i haven't really seen Real life comparisons, only pictures which don't really help.

My experience with AIB...
Light output might be great but terrible fitment. I had to really put all my strength and force to put on to the driver side and the passenger side, I couldn't never turn to lock after plugging it into the housing socket. I don't know if I got a pair of defected one but spending a 300 buck for pair of bulbs that didn't fit... I was kind of disappointed.
Returned and bought a pair of eBay one. Fitment was GREAT but the light output isn't bright as AIB's... but better then stock bulbs thou...

I have read some positive reviews about MTEC v2.1
Some claims that they are slight brighter then AIB's and mainly the cost is less then half vs AIB.
