Another angel eye problem!!!
My second set of angel eyes....
I was walking to my truck and the drivers side angel eyes just randomly went out. I was so fed up with stuff breaking on this thing, I just kept walking to get what I needed out of the back of my truck. Reluctantly, when I came back around to the front, I looked and they were on again like it never went out. Yesterday, I noticed that the drivers side was out again. It looked like the smaller one was dimmed and the larger one was out. A little later they looked to be completely out. I quickly looked around and was happy to see that atleast the wires were still in the rings this time. So now the drivers side won't come on anymore. The passenger side still works fine. I haven't had a single problem until now. Super white and bright and no flickering. Does anyone have ANY suggestions that wouldn't require me opening them again? I really do not want to do this a third time. |

You have the aftermarket AE rings right? If so i bet the little invertor/ballast is bad.

When I first put the CCFL angel eyes in my truck I had a problem on the drivers side where they went out within the first week. I figured out it was due to placement of the inverter box. I had it too close to the oil filter housing and it got too hot. After replacing the inverter box and putting it in a better location farther away from things that get hot I haven't had any problems. Just something to check.

Good idea... Mine is actually right near the oil filter too. I'll defintely relocate it.
Where can I find the ballasts that down interfere with the PDC? It really annoys me and I can't seem to find a post about where to get them. |

But if I come across them in the future I will surely scoop them up and put the fuse back in for the PDC.

You know it's funny that you mention that, because when I have my HID fogs on, my front PDC goes beserk. I figured it's some kind of electromagnetic field from the ballasts, since they're so high-voltage. I just turn them off if I'm parking.

I'm looking for the ones that don't interfere with the PDC sensors. I have a few extra ballasts that I can use but they make my PDC go nuts.
