Why would the dealer want to buy my X5?
We request the opportunity to acquire your BMWX5. So says the letter from the dealer.  It goes on to say "Your vehicle is worth more to us than the current action rate. Your vehicle is on our "HOT LIST" we can extend to you a purchase or trade in value that is above the current MANHIEM/AUCTION report value for your vehicle. We need to meet our inventory stocking guidelines. Blah blah blah....Ok there's more in this letter that what I just wrote but what gives. Anyone else get one of these. OBTW theres a PS at the bottom of the page. If you know anyone who has a 2002-2007 luxury sedan or sport coupe tell them about this offer.

they are just trying to get you into the dealership. once you are there they will take your car in for an inspection and while you wait the salesmen will be attacking you from all sides. they will get you to fall in love with something and when you think you are going to make a sweet deal some surprising issue will be found with your car that kills your value. or in other words its a scam.

Your joking right........  But i've been at this dealer more than a 2 dozen times. In fact this is where maintenance for both vehicles is done. I been in this dealership so often that I would think they would be trying to get rid of me..... I don't think it's a scam but it is a come on for a sales pitch for sure. I'm going to let them appraise it just for fun. I'm curious. I want to see what there going to say ...lol

Oh come on now... The letter says "NO OBLIGATION TO PURCHASE ANYTHING"
to receive a guaranteed written offer to purchase your vehicle..... Are you saying this is not for real......

Quicksilver, can you recommend me to the dealership. I'd sell mine in a heartbeat . . . if they don't mind buying it with a half dozen repair issues.
