DRL Program

I took my 2006 X5 4.8is in to the shop to have the drl's deactivated but he could not find away to turn on my angel eyes instead so now in the daytime all lights are off.....Is anyone aware of a way to turn my angel eyes on all the time...

Also on a seperat note I ordered a upgrade from Bimmian.com to change the color of my angel eyes to a nice blue....but they are very dim in the daylight maybe even dimmer than factory? Anyone have any experience with changing upgrading there angel eyes? Thanks Guys!!!!

I'd like to know, too. Really want to turn on the Angel eyes instead of the regular DRLs.

I don't agree with shutting off DRL's they are definite safety idea.
But I'd like to have my angel eyes and DRL's at the same time...any way to do that....

Has been discussed at length. Don't remember all the search phrases I used, but found quite a few threads. To sum it up: no, I don't believe there is programming to do it; yes, guys have rigged it to work with mixed results; some have wired them through DRL relay, again with mixed results. The most obvious problem with direct wiring to the DRLs is loss of high beam flashing. Won't lose all high beam capability provided you have bi-xenon (as you would). People probably would not notice you flashing your angel eyes at them when you want to pass.

Do the Angel eyes just need 12v? Possible to have them wired to a key on hot wire?
Or otherwise it's either angel eyes or DRL's but not both?
