Are the exhaust tips clamp on type or do you have to weld them on after cutting a length off the standard 3.0 pipes.
Where did they come from and how much.

Thanx

Steve

i think those are the ones u need to cut the existing 3.0 tips and do a welding job.
i even cut a 1.75" off from these ractive tips so they won't stick out too far

I'm very interested in those tips, could you please measure how much you will cutoff the OEM tip before you weld them on? Also how does the width and height of tip opening dimension compare to the 4.6/4.8 tip opening? Please post some pics from different angles. Thx

Those Ractive tips have to be welded on after the standard 3.0 tips are completely cut off. Here are a few pictures of how mine look like after I had the muffler shop cut off an additional 1.5 to 1.75 inches off those Ractive tips. Otherwise, they will extend past the rear bumper. The Ractive tips are a bit smaller than the 4.6is, but still a good alternative to the OEM 4.6is tips at less than 1/2 the price. Here's a link to another member that had the same thing done a while back => http://www.xoutpost.com/x5-e53-forum/...hlight=ractive
