Tyre Choice (E53 X5 2004 3.0d Sport 19")
 I am currently running Toyo Proxies 255/50 R19 (Front) 285/45 R19 (Back) They seem ok but as they are badly worn, it's hard to judge.Anyway I have been looking around Tyre Rack, 1010 Tyres (and the rest of the net) for Reviews and came up with the following: General Grabber HTS General Grabber UHP Pirelli Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico Pirelli Scorpion Zero Michelin Diamaris (OEM) I'm really looking for Comfort and Tyre Wear as the main plus, I need an All Season Tyre that will occantionally be driven on gravel roads and will rarely be used in snow, climate in Cyprus is Generally very Sunny  Any other tyre recommendations would be welcome... Many thanks for any help and tips!!!!

I have Michelin Diamaris 275/45/R20 Front, 315/35/R20 Rear, they look awesome! I also had Pirelli Scorpion Zero at one time. That list is good, just like me they are All-Weather and those tires can last long both on tarred road and a little bit of gravel but my too low profile X5 I dont dare try on rocks or treat my car like a Land Rover!

Low profile tyres always look awesome!!! Nice Job...
How did you find the Pirelli Scorpion Zero on the X5? I'm not going off Road with my baby, no chance, but roads here are not the best and you can find yourself driving on reasonably flat (unpaved) earth at times which can get a little bumpy... The Pirelli Dealer is convienient for me, but I want the best tyres I can get, not even sure I can get the General Grabbers in Cyprus but they would probably be my 1st choice given the reviews I have read, sets of the UHP tyre seem a little more unreliable, which some people complaining they were unable to balance them as they were warped...

Ok so I have it down to (TWO)
Michelin Latitude Tour HPs or Pirelli Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico I decided the Grabber is probably overkill for snow and off road which I won't be using... p.s. it seems there at 4 types of Pirelli Scorion tyre (STR, ZERO, ASIMMETRICO, ATR) Last edited by DrunkenNinja; 03-16-2010 at 09:44 AM.

I went with ContiProContacts. They may not be the most aggressive tire out there, but I am in shock of how quit they are!!! Rain traction is excellent as well. I went form the OEM Micheline to these. They are giving away a free GPS with purchase too!

I have Pirelli Scorpion ATRs on my X but they are quite off road orientated and probably not what you are after. I also doubt they will come in a low enough profile for your 19" rims. They are, however, good tyres, and I would recommend them to anyone who needs a bit of off road capability. The STRs are a good mostly on tar compromise, the Zeros and ASSIMETRICOs are, I think, more or less tarmac only tyres, but sound like what you are wanting. You won't get anything significantly off road in less than about a 60 profile.

Avoid the Bridgestone Turanza ER30 which were the other OE choice along with the Diamaris. Grip in the dry is incredible but they wear fast. Also wet weather traction is quite poor. Rear's will last 25,000 miles. Front's 50,000 miles.
