4.8is lowers on occasion

Sometimes I will walk over to the X and the suspension has dropped. I open the drivers door and I hear the pump go on and the suspensions lifts. This happens very sporadically.
Any Ideas?

That usually means you have a leak in one, or more, of the air spring/shock.

If I'm not mistaken, the only time the 4.8 actually lowers itself on purpose is when you park the car for a very long time. It doesn't keep the ride height to save the battery.

Is the car lower in a specific corner? I replaced the front air spring in our 06 x5 last month, piece of cake, about 2 hours for one spring.
