Paying to have this done would be a waste, imo. I used the Crystal View kit that I purchased from Advance Auto for $19.00. Over a year later of sitting in the sun everyday and they still look good. Very clear instructions and only took about 20 minutes each side. Take a look at my before and after shots.

Professionaly... no
Results: Amazing when done correctly. Mine werent perfect since i used a mothers kit instead of big pad. but it got the majority of the yellowing out.

I used the 3M kit from an Autozone. Was fantastic. Just follow the instructions, my lights look brand spanking new, only took about an hr.

+1 for the 3m kit... mine were TERRIBLE and they still look great a year later. Every other wash or so i polish them with Plasti-x and they are crystal clear.

3m

I have used the 3m kit on a few of my Bimmers including the X and I have to say it works awesome. The lights come out looking brand new as long as you take it slow and follow the directions. I was ready to order new plastic lenses for my E46 until I tried this and I was sold. After 2 years they still look perfect, I do polish them with plastic polish (Plastix or whatever its called) when I wax the car though.

FYI, The last 3m kit I ordered through Amazon and it was cheaper than Autozone even with shipping.
