HELP: Locked out!

Hi all,

Been away for a few week and now found the battery of my 2002 4.6 is dead: No response from key remote, and since the immobilizer blinker isn't blinking at all, I'm assuming the battery is completely flat?

And since the regular key hole on the driver's door is covered by one of the mods, I'm unable to unlock the door without breaking the hey hold cover.

Can someone PM the instruction to unlock the car without the key?

Thanks in advance.

Sounds to me without power you will most likely not be able to activate the crash sensor that will release the doors.

I have searched the web to find the crash sensor location but been unable to find it.

I would start thinking what is more cost effective, pulling the mod off or breaking a window and open the car manually.

Good luck hope you will be able to find an effective solution

Put a jumper pack on the starter, that should juice the car up to unlock it. Then get rid of the keycover mod.

Thanks guys. Actually it's pretty easy to break open the keycover, it's just the hassle of ordering the replacement and getting it painted again!

Not sure if I understand it correctly, how do I put the jumper pack on the starter?

Thanks.

You would have to jack up the car and see if you can slide underneath to connect a jumper cable on the main powerline comng from the battery. Not sure if you could get to it as there is a cover panel as well underneath the engine but it is a viable alternative.
