How much Battery Load?
Battery load tested down to 7 volts per indy. Alternator charging at 13.8V which is good. Could it be time for a new battery? I can only see it being a problem if i play the radio/cd while ignition is off. Batt info anyone

Not completely certain what you mean. What is your battery voltage with the car not running? Is it above 12 volts? If so then I wouldn't worry about it. Have you ever needed a jump and how old is your current battery?

Here's an article on About.com:
Battery Testing, Maintenance And Myths According to that article the voltage for load testing is dependent on electrolyte temp (see the chart in the article). If that voltage falls below the minimum, then according to that article, it is a bad battery. For example, electrolyte at 0 degrees F, a good battery's voltage is not supposed to go below 8.5 volts. The highter the temp the higher the minimum voltage. |

Thanks Twin, never needed a jump before. No indication of battery weakness noticed. Batt is 2.5 yrs old.
