Wow, that's a pretty specific question! Since you said 7 series I can only assume you are referring to a Euro spec 1986 730i. That said, while the steel rims with hub caps are certainly nice, IMHO they are really not X5 material. Not to mention that since they are 15" in diameter, you'll have to make a minor modification or two to the brake calipers, rotors, etc. Nothing major mind you, I'm certain it will all fit just fine, but just to be safe, make sure to have a sledgehammer near by during the retrofit. So with that said, I say go for it 7 series wheel man, and keep us informed!

E65 7-series wheels will fit E53 X5. The have same bore and bolt size. Check the offset clearance before purchase.

Offsets and hub diameter will be the things to watch out for. I've got both sitting in my garage now, but I don't remember offhand the differences between the two.
