is there any way to remove the carrier bushings with out pulling it out. I know there is a tool but it's 300 dollars. is there something else to use or way to do it.

I believe x5girl or someone has put a little diy together for those bushings. just rip out the old ones by turning them out

HI, I tried to make one as well... work for half way but then it started to bend the middle rod.... this is what i did.... use a sawzall and remove the inner sleeve... youll see once u have it all in the air. all thats left after is the outter part... take a small hacksaw and just start cutting toward the subframe... slowly take ur time... once u get near the end just pry it out... should all come out... as it all rubber, the only metal is the innersleeve where the bolt goes through... The tool just makes it allot faster, but if u have patience this is my way... hope that helps!

Me too. I replaced the front thrust arm bushings and I now I am on to the rear. I will be going with Powerflex bushings. But I will need that tool or something like it.

hi, symptoms of buggered bushings at rear? does whole back end slump?get noisy?or in my case would not be able to adjust camber correctly be a symptom of bad bushings

the carrier bushings u would hear loud clunking in the rear when u take off and stop. idler bushings and control arm u would hear squeeking and clunking over bumps. I suppose that if the bushing were worn for the camber adjustment that could be a problem, or maby ball joints.
