Just wanted to drop a quick post and say thanks for steering me towards the Forever Black vinyl dye product. I had posted a few months back about how I'd scratched the hooey out of my vinyl trim trying to remove the billions of micro pits from years of ski trips. Once it dried "Aaaacckkk!". Scratched to heck.
So anyway, the Forever Black product reeeaaallly worked well. We've had one of the wettest springs in Oregon for a long long time. Tons of road spray.. several washings. The trim looks brand new. The scratched side of the car... not a single scratch. In fact, that side is uber smooth from the #0000 synthetic steel wool sanding. The other side is super black, but rough. I'm gonna sand that side too.
Oh.. and I just now did the wheel wells. I figured, what the heck this stuff is pretty in expensive. It only took me 15 minutes using a kitchen sponge. OMG!! I had no idea how important that ultra black wheel well look in contrast to the paint was part of why I fell in love with the look of the X5. The X looks brand new.
This product is so cheap, so fast to apply, and so effective and long lasting.. I can't recommend it enough. I might have to redo the car once a year after ski season.. I consider that low maintenance.
Thanks for finding this product for me guys.
