How long does it take for the X5 clutch to wear out?

It depends a lot on ones personal driving style and conditions.,Obviously if you do a lot city driving ,this will wear out your clutch more than Motorway driving.I would expect 130,000 miles in mixed conditions.

48K here on our '01 3.0 5 Spd and other than the common clutch pedal "squeak", it feels fine. I haven't "worn out" a clutch since my Woodward Ave drag racing days in the mid-'60s, lol!

I'd expect 100K, though the throwout bearing/clutch finger may be the weaker part of the system. This car is not exactly a "let's pop the clutch and lay a patch" type of car.

oooOOO!!! lol yea mine is 04' wit 43205 miles and its in the dealership gettin the clutch changed... how do you know when you clutch is totaly gone?

When it just revvs up and the car doesnt move much. 43k miles for a clutch change is usually quite premature. I hope you rev match when you shift. That wears the disc a lot less.
