X53 AC Condensation Leak

When I turn on the rear air conditioning in my 2006 X5, it makes a gurgling sound and the rear mats get wet. When I turn on the front air conditioning, a stream of water appears from beneath the dash on the passenger side near the center console.
I’d guess that the drains are clogged on the evaporator pans. Can someone please give me advice?

Thank in advance,
Nick

I jsut found the same issue today. Lots of water camoe out under the rear end of the center console. I think the drains are clogged after spending too much time outside. Anyone know where they are?

The drains exit beneath the centre console ( yes I spelled centre correct )
there is a plastic 90 degree bend connecting this pipe through frame .
there is 1 pipe each side of the transmission . if the blockage is from the end of pipe to elbow you can clear with weedwacker line .
you may be able to unclip elbow to get wacker line in deeper but it won`t be easy to remove . you might need to remove console for better access but I have not tried that nor researched .
first pic shows pipe location .this pipe has been moved slightly . it was stuck to body .
second pic shows elbow ( 90 degree bend ) connecting pipe through body .pic borrowed from another post on trans fluid change hence the arrow marking .

Correct for your side of the drink.

Thanks for the info. Amacman.

I tried to clear my clog with pipe cleaners, a fish tape and a clothes hanger with no success. I was too lazy to remove the console so I pressurized the drain pipes with 110 psi compressed air. No more clog!

You HOPE no more clog...! It's either no more clog or hose separated at junction.

Odds are 10 to 1 it just cleared the clog, but if your carpet starts getting wet when the AC runs you know where to look.
