Aftermarket screen/ stock look

I was sitting round tonight and just wondered if anyone had tryed using the 16:9 nav face and install an aftermarket pioneer etc screen behind it? All the buttons would become useless but if the screen is touch screen that shouldn't be a prob.

Anyway thought id ask around might be an option? It really is the best of both worlds keeping the stock system look but have a far better screen, nav, options etc

Not a bad idea, IMO there isn't any double DIN decks that look good in the x5. The space is just too wide for anything aftermarket to look nice. All the trim panels try to look decent but nothing that i would put in myself.
