QQ on rear regulator replacement! Real time help needed...
Starting on the rear window and I have done a front before so I'm not all that worried, however, once I removed the bad regulator I noticed the cable was all balled up in a bird's nest. One big tangle.....I also noticed the steel square bracket with black plastic ass'y/cabling clip at bottom appears to have shattered partially. Cable was in place and attached but some part of that thing has broken off. White clip on window at bottom still intact too. I removed the motor from the old regulator and inspected the teeth of the drive sprocket. All there. On the old regulator the sprocket did not damage any of the regulator's drive gear either.
What bothers me is the balled up cable, and on the motor I removed to recycle appears to have lost a seal of some type which perhaps seals the housing around the toothed drive sprocket. Wonder what that was? Very thin rubber along the white sprocket. I'll plug in the motor/switch and see what happens.............any help is appreciated, guys!
