Which oil for 2005 4.8is with 50k miles?

I've searched the boards but couldn't seem to find the answer. Which oil are you guys using in your 4.8is? Don't know how much climate matters but I live in NJ. Thanks..

Thanks that was very helpful. Just realized I was searching the E53 forum, not the engine & transmission forum. So does anyone here use redline or do most go with Castrol or Mobil?

I use Castrol or the BMW Castrol, since it is the same price as my autoparts store sells Castrol for. Mobil 1 is also fine. Redline is fine. Correct viscosity matters more than brand, and any current API SL or SM name brand synthetic works great.
