Dinan Exhaust, worth it?

I know someone selling a used Dinan Exhaust that would fit my 4.4i. Hes charging 800 plus shipping.

is the sound that much better than stock/ is it worth the $$ for a college boy like me

should i negotiate down?

and anyone have clips of the sound, i cant seem to find one on youtube

Question is, if you put that $700 aside because you don't really need more exhaust, what could you buy that would actually make your life better right now?

what would make my life better? hmm an A+ on the Finance exam i took last night might help? But unfortunately i cant pay $700 for that. I'm not sure what would actually make my life better..

The Dinan exhaust would probably sound and look pretty cool, but for a car with 83k miles is it worth putting the money into? i'm stuck here

83K miles is pretty low in the life cycle of most BMW's.

If cash is easy, I'd say $700 total but shipping it will be quite a bit.

I just hit 80K....and here's my laundry list of my most recent repair (the primary was a CV boot and the rest was preventative/due items). YMMV.....

CV Axle (boot went bad, detected it early but no more grease and I did not like the sound coming off of it on the way to the shop ) so I'm going with Axle Replacement
Engine Mounts & Tran Mounts
Power Steering Reserviour and Hose
Guibo
Vanos Gasket Seal
Total cost was about 2X your exhaust

I have the Dinan exhaust. Love it.
Just consider the $$$ on repairs to come.

Luckily for me, my aftermarket warranty has been very good with my claims.

Luckily I still am getting repairs done via my parents. That won't last much longer though.

I'm
Really torn on this decision. I think it'd really make a difference in my car.

how many miles on the exhaust? make sure it isn't rusted up. The quality isnt as good as they proclaim. I have it with an X pipe and bought it new. the tips are still ok but the dinan lettering looks like crap. the mufflers have some rust on them.
