Got rear ended by a cab!!!!

So I'm on my way to get the X washed, and while I'm waiting on a red light some idiot cab driver rear ends my truck. My initial reaction was to go off on the guy but after I cooled down I got out to make sure everyone was fine. Well it ended up that the Cab had a passanger and the poor guy banged his head on the front seat. But besides that every one was ok.

While we were waiting on the cops the passanger tells me that the cab driver was on his freaking cell and not paying attention to the road. Unfreaking real. When the cops get there the guy tells them that I must have stopped short! Thank god for the passanger, he told the cops the truth and they issued the cabbie a ticket for using his cell while driving.

To make things even better the door handle carrier broke (comepletely unrelated). So now I have to open the windows to open the door. Just not my day today.

The truck doesnt look too bad but the exaust is pushed in. I'm worried that there is alot more that got damaged, not just what's visible. Is there anything I should look out for? If I take it to the dealer will the isurance cover it?

I'll post some pics of the damage tomorrow.

You most likely will need to get a couple of estimates and the dealer is one I would use.

I see a new Dinan exhaust in your future for free.

Also are you sure your back or neck isn't hurting? Usually begins to hurt the next day.

I was thinking of just getting it to the dealer, but it is a good idea to get a few estimates. Dinan Exaust....sounds good...lol...my back is sore,no kidding...

Stopped short? That's the weakest arguement ever...it's called safe following distance for a reason. Spend $20, get a bluetooth. I hope he gets slammed for every charge, I can't stand ignorant people behind the wheel.

Every cab driver is perpetually on the phone, so that isn't surprising. Very unfortunate though and I hope everything works out in the end. Try to get as much fixed as you can on it. BTW, you should have told the cab driver that your foot just stopped short of his ass.
