My 2001 4.4 just has message showing "Check Side Light". Yes, side light are no longer lighting and I suspect bulb burned out. But where should I start to remove the side light? Not found any articles here. Please help. Thanks first. |

Simply take the side marker, as you see it, and slide it towards the front of the vehicle. While holding it forward pull the side side closest to the rear away from the car and it should come right out.

Thanks. I tried to follow your instructions, seems the side light is extremely tight and I cannot make it move. Any tool that I need? Or just push it much harder?

push it harder, it is spring loaded and requires a little force. whatever side you push to lift the opposite side once you slide around 3/16".

Thanks again. Yes, I just removed both side lights and check their bulbs. Both bulbs look fine to me. I also tried to locate the fuse from glove's fuse box. I saw light module fuse and others but didn't see "side light". Am l looking at the right place? Or you think replace the light bulbs will work?
