Magnaflow Tru-X pipe on '02 3.0i e53

Greetings everyone,

I am looking to add a Magaflow Tru-X pipe on my '02 3.0i e53 but don't know which size to purchase. I see they come in: 2.25", 2.50", and 3.0" If anyone has done this mod to their 3.0i e53, please share with me which is the correct size to purchase?

the e53 pipe is metric size, just over 2" i believe. when i put an X pipe on i think i bought a 2.25" or 2.5" then a plethora of adapters and a spreader to make it work.
