Transmission failing, advice please.
Today the transmission started acting up. When leaving a light, the engine revs to above 2000 rpm, then engages with a bang. It behaved better in sport mode, and I got home, but obviously it's dying. No messages or lights on the dash. Ideas? |

Check the fluid level. If that is fine, get it diagnosed properly.

In posts with issues, it is always helpful to describe the vehicle fully. That is, year, model, engine, mileage, etc. WIthout that basic information, it is virtually impossible to even give you an idea where to start.

Thanks Chasz,
I am trying to make my signature reflect what I own. I am on many forums, for cars, airplanes, etc. and I forgot that I hadn't setup my profile yet. This vehicle has approximately 160,000 km, we bought it used about a year ago. Plans are to fix the transmission, and install bluetooth in the new year.
