Lower Control Arm is shot!

Deal said it won't last long, I guess they're just . But my X is used to carry the baby, can't take any chance, right?! $200 part + $80 labor.

A peace of mind.........

Man, that was SHOT. Mine didn't look near that bad at 148,000 (but they could have been replaced once before).

I would recommend anyone at or near 100,000 miles should change these.

They probably saw the torn boot that is why they told you it won't last long, no B.S.

I had both of these replaced in my car, last week. Together with the two bushings of the other arms.

Be sure you check the rest of the suspension both front and back. I would give 2 to1 odds you have similar conditions elsewhere---meaning----you will be going on a wide ride and I will hear you screaming a trio of increasingly frantic oh s##ts from here.

Could have already been replaced. Might be able to tell by name or part number of the ball joint. If the seal is intact would be one indication. You could also take the weight off the suspension and see if it feels verses the new one.
